Guozhi Zhang is a PhD/Postdoc, Masters supervisor, and Research Director of the Department of Electrical Engineering. He is a Nanhu Scholar, and an 'academic backbone' member of the Hubei Natural Science Foundation Innovation Group. He has long been engaged in the research and development of new monitoring technology for the insulation state of power equipment and related devices. He has presided over a National Natural Science Foundation of China, three provincial- and ministerial-level projects such as the Hubei Natural Science Foundation, won a second prize in the Henan Province Science and Technology Achievement Awards, and a second prize in China Electric Power Technology Innovation. He has published SCI/EI retrieval in the past 3 years, has published more than 20 journal papers, edited 2 monographs, and applied for 5 patents.
