Prof. Dr. Tong Zhang received an M.S. degree in semiconductor materials and a Ph.D. degree in microelectronics and solid-state electronics from Jilin University, Changchun, China, in 1992 and 2001, respectively. She was appointed as a full-time Professor with the College of Electronics Science and Engineering, Jilin University, in 2001. She is the Director of the Sensor Branch of the China Instrument and Meter Society, Director of the Sensor Branch of China Instrument and Meter Industry Association, and Secretary General of the Air and Humidity Sensitive Professional Committee of the Sensing and Microsystem Technology Society of the China Electronics Society. At present, Prof. Dr. Zhang's main research direction is the sensing and detection of gas, humidity, and biomolecules in the fields of industrial production safety, environmental pollution, human health, and the home environment, and the design and preparation of micro and nano sensing materials, sensor structure design, and application development. As the project leader, she undertook the key research and development projects of the National Foundation Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology, etc. She has won the first prize in Natural Science of Jilin Province and the first prize in Natural Science Academic achievements of Jilin Province.
