A shameless case of network synergy results in one of the silliest late-night sketches in quite some time.

In the video above, CBS funnyman Stephen Colbert enlists the services of Tracker star Justin Hartley when his favorite Late Show coffee mug goes missing. Despite Colbert’s refusal to refer to him by name and not “Tracker,” Hartley drops what he’s doing — he was just about to watch the guys from FBI wrestle the guys from NCIS! — and leads a chaotic search through the Ed Sullivan Theater. It all culminates in a wild foot chase through the studio audience.

Along the way, Colbert channels his inner David Caruso and attempts to revive a classic CSI: Miami meme. Hartley’s not into it at first, but eventually changes his tune.
