- (1948-49) Radio: Appeared (billed as "George Seldon", because his actual surname would cause confusion with the Sherlock Holmes character) as "Dr. Watson" in "Sherlock Holmes" on MBS Radio Network. John Stanley played Holmes.
- (July 3, 1947) Wendell Holmes began a 12-week summer replacement radio series on NBC as Colonel Humphrey J. Flack, the consummate con artist, who retrieved funds swindled from victims by subterfuge and returned the funds to the duped. His secretary, Uthas P. Garvey, was played by Frank Maxwell.
- (March 7, 1956) Played Courtney James, untalented amateur big game hunter in "A Gun for Dinosaur" (March 7, 1956), an episode of the NBC Radio science fiction anthology series "X Minus One." The episode was adapted by Ernest Kinoy from the novella of the same name by L. Sprague de Camp. William Welch (I) was the uncredited producer.
