Spoiler Alert: This story mentions plot developments in Season 1, Episode 4 of “Agatha All Along,” currently streaming on Disney+.
Although “Agatha All Along” isn’t a musical per se, music serves as the show’s literal plot device, when the coven led by Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) sings “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road” together in Episode 2 in order to conjure the titular mystical pathway, all in the hope of making their wishes come true. The importance of “The Ballad” resonates throughout the show; each episode title comes from the song’s lyrics, and, as executive producer Mary Livanos explains to Variety, “the song will continue playing an incredibly significant role in the show.”
Case in point, Episode 4, titled “If I Can’t Reach You / Let My Song Teach You.” Once they reach the road, the coven — comprised of Agatha, Teen (Joe Locke), Lilia Calderu (Patti LuPone), Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza...

In the entire South Park canon, no country constantly one-ups itself with weirdness quite like Canada — as is tradition.
When Trey Parker and Matt Stone debuted the cartoon-within-a-cartoon “Terrance and Phillip” in South Park Season One, they deliberately designed the duo to have even cruder animation and humor than the rest of the show, which was already heavily criticized by its haters in such departments. As the series went on, the esteemed Canadians’ characterization carried over to the rest of the Great White North, and, in the quarter century since Canada first entered the South Park universe, the show’s writing staff has only continued to escalate the joke about Canada’s outrageous customs and quirks to startling new heights.
As such, here are the strangest aspects of South Park’s Canada for the enjoyment of Canadians everywhere, and, therefore, of course, the world.

Netflix released the new original film “Spiderhead” last week, but in addition to debuting a new thriller starring Chris Hemsworth and Miles Teller, the streamer also unveiled a truly killer soundtrack of yacht rock staples – and you can see the full “Spiderhead” soundtrack list below.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski (“Top Gun: Maverick”) and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (“Deadpool”), “Spiderhead” is based on a dystopian short story by George Saunders and takes place entirely at a facility called – you guessed it – Spiderhead. Run by Chris Hemsworth’s Steve Abnesti, this facility is host to prisoners serving long sentences who have agreed to take part in an experimental drug trial in exchange for more freedoms.
But as Teller’s prisoner character Jeff soon learns, there may be more than meets the eye when it comes to the true nature behind these experimental drug trials.

Virtual learning has become a big part of our lives these days, whether students are attending classes via webcam, or people are looking to upgrade their skills with an online tutorial or course. When it comes to the latter, the internet has made it possible to take remote courses that fit around your schedule, and don’t require a transcript.
One of the best online learning platforms out there is Coursera, which offers classes that span the fields of business, entertainment, personal development and more — all taught by accredited professors from well-known universities.

Long before his famous gigs as a fashion model, museum guard and cartoon lion, high-school-aged Ben Stiller was the drummer for short-lived New York noise band Capital Punishment. A mix of industrial art-collage, synth-tweaked post-punk and teenage kicks, the band quietly released one record, played zero shows under their name and then went on to various adulthoods: founder Kriss Roebling as a documentarian, Peter Zusi as a London-based professor of Czech literature, Peter Swann as a justice of the Supreme Court of Arizona and Stiller as an Emmy-winning writer, director and actor.

There’s a certain kind of oddball film that seems like it could only have its coming-out party at a place like Sundance. Marjane Satrapi’s dark serial killer comedy The Voices is one of those films. The best way I can think to describe it is: imagine Fight Club if Brad Pitt’s part was played by a talking dog and cat.
Tyler Durden comparisons aside, Satrapi, the Iranian director of 2007′s Persepolis, has created a totally unique, genre-defying film. Which isn’t to say The Voices is great. Far from it. It’s wildly uneven and it never...

I have to confess my age in writing this particular review, because Johnny Carson was off the air by the time I was watching late night television (or rather, watching and appreciating it). For my generation, the names headlining the late night shows were and, with a little bit of controversy, remain Jay Leno and David Letterman. In my case, I had to familiarize myself with Carson through YouTube clips years after he’d retired. Tonight, the most complete compilation of episode’s from Carson’s 30-year-long career as host, starts 4 years into his career (1965) and spans up to 1990 (4 years short of his final bow) in a 15-disc set featuring some great moments and some of the best guest appearances (with a particular focus on comedians for this set, it would seem). It’s doubtful we’ll ever see a full set, just because the undertaking of committing that much...

The Zombieland soundtrack. Considering that the movie revolves around a neatly-ordered roster of rules (Jesse Eisenberg’s cowardly Columbus comprehensively laying down the law on how to avoid being gobbled by the undead), it seems appropriate that the soundtrack of Zombieland should exhibit similarly taxonomic tendencies. Because the range of songs here each fall into one of several sub-categories, with these mini-groupings then in turn all uniting under a single banner – that of the Flag of Fromage. So we get examples of barroom rock cheese, lonely hearts cheese, Americana cheese, and pop culture cheese, as well as a few bits of random classical and college rock being tossed into the great zombie fondue as well.
It is a musical collection which seems attuned to the spawning movie’s two central characters, with the robust, no-nonsense sensibility of Woody Harrelson’s Tallahassee and the simpering timidity of Columbus both seeping through from specific cuts.
