While I have enjoyed recently watching old reruns of "Cannon" on DVD, I do have to laugh a bit at the athletics they had the character doing on the show. Now I must admit that William Conrad's stunt doubles were great--and seamlessly integrated into the show. But, the idea of a 300 pound man jumping out of moving trucks, delivering kicks to his opponents and regularly beating up baddies--now that IS pretty funny!
"A Lonely Place to Die" begins with a triple murder. However, the witnesses aren't exactly forthright in talking about it and the bodies have disappeared--making the police doubt that anything has happened. When Cannon investigates, however, he learns that three folks indeed were killed--and he and his lady client might just be next! All the crazy stunts I mentioned above occur in this episode--making it tough to believe but also filled the show with a lot of action. This, combined with a decent plot, make this pretty exciting to watch and another good episode of the series. Not 100% believable...but still good.
