The Greek house of dragons without dragons but with a little magic.
A unique in concept tv series in Greek TV history with a historical background situated in Mani in 1817 a few years before the Greek national uprising against the Ottoman rulers. The story is between two families that struggle to overcome their internal problems and in the same time struggle to maintain their leading position (Laskaris clan) or gain status (Gerakaris clan). They are tied together in a fragile marriage and a well hidden fate that will unveil to them as events happen. Mystery, drama, power struggle set a unique plot.
The characters are very interesting and well designed to give a spice to the plot. They are smart, ruthless, reckless, pationate , vengeful .ambitious and in some way resemple the strengths and weakenesses of Olympian gods.

One of the best Greek Shows
Very good series. Have great story and the actors play very good. Love music, songs, photography and directing. I will definitely put the serial on the top greek series ever made.
Story: Mani, 1817...
Two rival homelands, of Captain Laskaris and Gerakaris, are now united through the marriage of their children. The disappearance, however, of the only 40-day-old grandson of the two families, will disturb the fragile balance of their relationship.
Who is behind the disappearance of the infant?
Families are up in arms and searching everywhere.
With the first light of the dawn, the young servant of the Laskaras, Theofano, will be led by a vision to the banks of the Arna river...
What has happened; What will come to light and reveal well-hidden secrets from the past that may lead to conflict?

THE BESF GREEK SERIES EVER !!
Just a perfect series!!! The best Greek series of all time!! The plot is perfect, the series has an all star cast and the acting is amazing in every episode. I also absolutely love the metaphysical element in the series. It is the only Greek series that has achieved this and the scenes are creepy. The Witch ( Elli Tringou ) NAILED the role so did everyone!!! The soundtrack is INCREDIBLE AND AMAZING. Omg !! The song called "XRHSAFI" is one of my favorite songs ever !! Just incredible
The opening credits are by far my favorite! Of any show ever!! Really well done to EVERYONE who has worked on this series. This show has to be on netflix and gain global recognition!!!

Two rival families
A merciless war begins and a girl in Mani of Peloponnes, guided by her visions, she will do anything to hide this gift in order to escape the stigma of being a witch.
On the small screen, a new universe of fantasy, Turkocracy against the Greeks. It is at #1 in the dynamic audience, it can perform and win an audience that theoretically did not exist until now.
A Greek version of the Game of Thrones with stormy developments in the popular series and this is not an exaggeration. On all fronts something important happens in every episode and at a pace that keeps you on your toes.
I can't stop watching.

The Witch. Or as it called in greek " I Magissa ". What can I say??? This is the best Greek series ever!! And one of my favorite shows !! Even if there are a lot of episodes in one season, there wasn't even a moment that I got bored. The girl that plays the "witch" ( Elli Tringou ) absolutely SLAYS her role. Omg her acting is amazinggg. Every single actor is amazing in this show. The plot is so cool and interesting!! I'm so happy that there's a Greek show that I can watch again and again and never getting bored . I'm gonna be so mad if this show won't be on netflix!! Congratulations to every single person thar has worked to make this masterpiece 👏

That's the best Greek series EVER!
I Magissa (or The Witch) is one of the best tv shows I have ever watched!! It's so good!!! Firstly, the plot is sooo interesting and now that Season 2 and 3 have been announced (as this is going to be a trilogy) I'm so excited to see what's coming next in this AMAZING story!!! The acting is phenomenal !!! The soundtrack is literally amazing . The supernatural scenes are well filmed and directed!! Not to spoil anything for the finale of season 1, but I don't understand why people hate it so much. IT WAS AMAZING. Anyways, a new season starring Maria Kitsou is coming this October and I couldn't been more excited !!!

Great series - very bad ending
Bad beyond expectations
A great cast, very talented actors, great budget, awesome scenery and landscape...yet this director managed to create a really boring and ugly result. How is it possible?
It is possible when instead of focusing on the super resources that you have (cast, castle etc) you focus on creating a cheap copy paste of what? Game of Thrones? Turkish series? I don't know... Unnecessary sex scenes that are so bad and uncomfortable, all this yelling and screaming of the actors, the cringe love adventures of this "witch"/maid/maiden/hermit (?????), the talking...they all talk in a poetic kind of exaggerated way...because that's how people talked back then??? Jesus... Watch Psychokores and learn how to do the job before you waste such a high budget for this poor result.
By the way...by episode 50 the witch hasn't learnt how to witch yes... So bad...

just bad,very bad.
The scenery is very nice, yet the series is simply bad.
The dialogues are insulting to human logic, you watch hours upon hours episode after episode and find your self in the same spot.
Character A argues with character B, than goes to argue character C Than character B argues with character C Than character C argues with character A and this goes on and on and on and no progress at all .and all those characters are living under same roof.
I'm not sure what the production had in mind, lets take a bit of Game of Thrones, add a bit Turkish drama, and sprinkle it with Mexican soap opera, and of course extend it till you make the viewer curse the moment he decide to give it a chance.
