Affordable Short-Term Study Abroad / Away Options

Affordable Short-Term Options

We understand that for some, an entire semester abroad program may be a bit too long or too expensive, so we offer several popular less expensive, short-term travel courses. These faculty-led global experiences are conveniently offered during May Term, Summer Session, and Winter Term.

Because the time away is much shorter, the cost is far less. However, the experience is priceless.

Some of the recent destinations for UMF Short-Term Travel Courses include: Japan, Iceland, Germany, Costa Rica, Greece, Ireland, Italy, New Mexico, Panama, Peru, Scotland, Spain, Tanzania and more.

Study Away in the U.S., U.S. Territories, or Canada

UMF participates in the popular National Student Exchange program, which gives you the opportunity to study away at a college or university in the United States, U.S Territories, or Canada.

More than 170 colleges and universities participate in the National Student Exchange program.

UMF students have studied away at institutions in Alaska, New Mexico, Colorado, Montana, California, Georgia, Idaho, New York, Oregon, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and more.
