Simeon Netchev

Biography

Simeon is a freelance visual designer and certified history teacher, fascinated by the reasons and motivations that make individuals and societies tick and evolve. His passion for history traces back to his roots in an ancient Danubian Plain town where Thracian, Roman, Slavic, Bulgarian, and Turkish narratives intermingle beneath the surface.

With years spent living in the USA, Belgium, Poland, and now Zurich, Simeon’s journey has included commanding anti-aircraft platoons, studying Indian linguistics, architectural design, monument restoration, town conservation, and teaching history to high school students.

Simeon believes every picture should tell a story, and every map should take you on a journey. Through his work for WHE, he hopes to inspire others to explore and experience history with the same excitement he feels when creating it.
