LED lights: 191 motorists fined
A targeted drive against motorists using dazzling and glading LED lights has led to significant enforcement actions . During this drive, approximately 593 vehicles were checked, resulting in the registration of over 190 cases against offenders . A total of 191 motorists were found to have installed the prohibited lights, prompting immediate action.
Aiming to curb the rising issue of hazardous lighting on vehicles that can cause distractions and impair the visibility of other drivers, the drive yielded a collected fine of Rs 95,000. In addition to penalising offenders, the operation also focused on raising awareness about the importance of adhering to traffic rules. Motorists were educated on the dangers posed by unauthorised LED lights and their broader impact on road safety.
