Manoj Gautam succeeds Rajesh Uppal as IT Head at Maruti Suzuki
Gautam will be responsible for digital transformation of enterprise applications and build technology landscape to achieve the MSIL 3.0.Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has appointed Manoj Gautam as Head of IT. He took charge from April1, 2024, and will be responsible for digital transformation of enterprise applications and build technology landscape to achieve the MSIL 3.0.
Gautam has been with the company for over 18 years and has worked towards planning and executing IT strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.
He succeeds Rajesh Uppal, who has been with the carmaker for over 39 years and drove both the IT and HR functions. Uppal has been transferred to as a Member of the Executive Committee.
Gautam joined MSIL in 2005 and played a significant role in setting up its IT infrastructure and Applications in the Greenfield Manesar Plant.
His current functional areas include Digital Transformation, Industry 4.0 and Cybersecurity. Prior to MSIL, he was associated with Eicher Motors and HMT Limited. He holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering from IIT Roorkee.
