Many of my most cherished childhood memories feature a dinosaur. Or at least what I thought was a dinosaur till this week: the Air India Boeing 747 ‘Jumbo’ jet. It could be because, in my 6-year-old mind, the humongous dimensions of the then state-of-the-art aircraft seemed very much like that of the gigantic dinosaur fossil at the Museum of Natural History in New York—the city I flew into aboard that iconic aircraft in 1972.
