While the Earth is home to over 3,000 species of scaly reptiles, the Barbados thread snake holds the title of the world's smallest identified snake, measuring just 4.1 inches in length at maturity. Despite its diminutive size, this tiny serpent is a remarkable feat of nature.

As stated by the esteemed Natural History Museum, the reticulated python proudly holds the title of the longest serpent on the planet. Its majestic form can extend to a staggering 6.25 meters or 20.5 feet in length, a truly awe-inspiring feat of nature.

Weighing approximately 550 pounds, the green anaconda is the world's heaviest snake, native to South America and Trinidad, and commonly found in aquatic habitats such as rivers, marshes, and swamps.

National Geographic reports that the reticulated python, which can grow up to 20-30 feet long, is longer than the green anaconda. However, at only 350 pounds, they appear slim in comparison.

The Titanoboa, the biggest snake in the Serpentes suborder, is now extinct. It measured around 13 meters (42.7 feet) in length and weighed about 1,135 kilograms (1.25 tons).
