​Giraffe​

​Dolphins​

Dolphins have to remain conscious while sleeping so they do not drown. This is often called 'conscious breathing'.

These gentle giants have brief episodes of deep sleep, often leaning against a tree for support. But, they can also stay awake for weeks.

​Bullfrog​

Bullfrogs did not sleep since they reacted to stimuli in a similar manner at all times. They go into brumation which means a form of binge sleeping after no sleep.

​Sharks​

As perpetual swimmers, many shark species experience sleep by slowing down one part of their brain at a time while remaining in constant motion to facilitate oxygen uptake.

Ants

Worker ants within a colony take turns resting, totaling 250 minutes of sleep per day.

These remarkable birds spend months in the air during migration, sleeping on the wing for brief periods.

​Horses​

Horses sleep for three hours a day on average, and while it's true they do most of their dozing on their feet. They need to lie down on their side to get proper sleep.
