#juntos #scjohnson #gofurtherwithourfamily #talentfactory

Last summer, SC Johnson proudly joined the Circular Action Alliance (CAA), a non-profit Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) which supports the successful implementation of state Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws. Joining CAA as a Founding Member, and continuing to advocate for EPR laws, helps further bolster our efforts to help create a circular economy.
As part of our ongoing efforts to address the plastic pollution problem, and alongside the opening of #TheBlueParadox experience, we joined the Circular Action Alliance as a founding member. Did you know about 26 billion pounds (12 million metric tons) of plastic is dumped into the ocean each year – equal to nearly 100,000 blue whales? 🌊🗑️ This week is National Beach Clean-up Week in the US, and SCJ people are committed to helping tackle the plastic waste crisis to protect our beautiful beaches. From the Blue Paradox exhibit to beach clean-ups around the globe, we’re tackling the plastic waste issue head-on. It takes all of us—individuals, businesses, and governments—to change how we produce, use, and recycle plastic. Interested in your own beach cleanup? 🌊 One year ago today, the awe-inspiring #TheBlueParadox exhibit on the ocean plastic waste crisis was unveiled at Griffin Museum of Science and Industry. Since then, nearly 300k visitors and stakeholders have experienced the exhibit, with 200K+ pledging to take action, such as encouraging government leaders to implement federal recycling initiatives, getting involved in local efforts or taking personal steps to reduce plastic waste. Together with Conservation International, we are proud to highlight this critical issue and the actions needed to solve it. It’s going to take all of us—governments, businesses, and consumers—working together to turn the tide. Explore ways you can get involved: https://bit.ly/4cMaBHt

A lot can change in 4 years, but our commitment to combat malaria has not! Since we first posted this video, we have gathered more partners, strengthened our research and developed a new spatial repellent to help the communities that need it most. To date, SC Johnson Guardian™ and Mosquito Shield™ spatial repellents have helped protect over 849,000 people across 11 countries. Thanks to the amazing SCJ team and partners, we are one step closer to getting a WHO policy recommendation – which would dramatically increase our impact in the fight against mosquito-borne diseases. We’ve got ambitious disease prevention strategies and core competencies to back them up. But we can’t realize our audacious vision by ourselves. Today marks 2 years of our partnership with the United Nations Foundation's United to Beat Malaria campaign, the world's largest grassroots campaign to end malaria by rallying partners, advocates, organizations, and the United Nations community around this global movement. As a United to Beat Malaria partner, SC Johnson is combining our science and product innovation expertise with the campaign’s global network of resources, educational content, and experience delivering disease prevention tools to hard-to-reach and underserved communities. So far, our partnership has produced increased global awareness of SC Johnson’s spatial repellent program, as well as malaria programs in humanitarian settings and joint advocacy efforts. 📸: SCJ people at the 2023 United to Beat Malaria Leadership Summit in Washington, DC, and UTBM Executive Director Margaret McDonnell visiting a SCJ-sponsored health post in Girubuzima, Rwanda
