On #GiveSomethingAwayDay we would like to acknowledge the collaboration with Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. (German Breast Cancer Association), that allows us to provide wigs, prosthesis and bras to our members worldwide. This is a small gesture that can help patients living life with dignity despite the physical side effects and symptoms of their breast cancer. Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V.

In some care centers in France, up to 20% of patients do not speak French well. Consultation in pictures is a tool that recaps the different steps of the breast cancer patient’s journey in pictures. For use in consultations, helps HCPs explain to their patients what their disease is, what treatment they will have and what support is available. We are very proud of partnering with The Max Foundation to enhance treatment accessibility for HR positive/HER2 negative advanced breast cancer patients in many low and middle-income nations.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our Last Mile program for breast cancer patients in Nepal 🚍 Our first beneficiary, Bhagawati, received travel reimbursement through this program at Patan Hospital. This initiative is part of our accompaniment services aimed at easing the burden on people who face challenges in accessing healthcare and medication due to travel costs💊🚗 A huge thank you to Patan Hospital management and our dedicated physician partners like Dr. Arun Shahi, MD,MPH,ECMO for making this milestone possible💖 https://lnkd.in/gSv_SWpV #HealthcareForAll #BreastCancerAwareness #PatientSupport #SDoH #HealthcareAccess

A shift in the attitude of policy makers and the public must occur to ensure all people with MBC/ABC are recognized and receive individualized treatment with an honest but positive approach. This shift is necessary so that people with MBC/ABC feel empowered and are supported to continue to contribute to local communities and wider society. On World Social Media Day, we remind you that social media can have a great impact on people with Metastatic Breast Cancer. According to a 2021 study, conducted by MetUpUK, people with MBC are looking for support in a community, information to help them manage their own emotions and feelings and ways to support their own mental health needs if unable to access that support elsewhere. Facebook is the most used social network, due to the numerous forums that offer support to people with MBC. MET UP UK
