3 cops booked for demanding Rs 65k, gold coin
MUMBAI: Three policemen from the RCF police station were booked by the Maharashtra Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for demanding bribe from a complainant. ACB officers said the complainant had made a written application to the RCF police and the trio demanded a bribe to take action. The complainant registered a complaint with ACB on November 7.


The ACB verified the complaint. The accused had demanded a 10gm gold coin and Rs 65,000 cash. The ACB registered an FIR against the accused-- former senior inspector Murlidhar Karpe, sub-inspector Rahul Jadhav and constable Ganesh Mojar. No arrest has been made so far.
