EP Jayarajan- Prakash Javadekar meeting: M V Govindan refuses to comment
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Even as the CPM state secretariat meeting is scheduled on Monday, CPM state secretary M V Govindan refused to comment on the controversy surrounding LDF convener EP Jayarajan’s meeting with BJP Kerala in-charge Prakash Javadekar.
Govindan, who reached the state capital on Sunday morning, declined to comment on the issue. The primary focus of the CPM state secretariat is to review the Lok Sabha polling, although there are expectations that the Jayarajan-Javadekar meeting will also be discussed.

Jayarajan has been marginalized within the party, with nearly all leaders, including chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, disowning him on the issue. Vijayan openly criticized Jayarajan for associating with individuals with tainted backgrounds.

The CPI too hit out at the meeting and indirectly hinted about the need for Jayarajan to resign from the post of the LDF convener.
