From caring for their pets to showering love and making sure they get the best of everything; pet moms go out of their way to ensure their fur babies are happy and content. Ahead of Mother’s Day, here’s celebrating these moms and understanding what it is they want.
Quality time with their pets: There's no greater joy for them than spending quality time with their pets. Whether it's a stroll through the neighbourhood, a game of fetch, or simply curling up together on the couch, the bond between a pet mom and her pet is all about shared experiences.
Appreciation and recognition: Very rarely are pet moms appreciated for the things they do for their pets. This Mother’s Day, if you know a loving pet mom, give them a thank-you note, a small token of gratitude, or an acknowledgement on social media.
Bring your pet to work: Pet-friendly workplaces are gaining momentum as more companies recognise the positive impact of allowing pets in their premises. For pet moms, getting their fur babies to work not only reduces separation anxiety but also makes for a more relaxed work environment.
More travel options: Travelling with pets can often be a challenge, especially in India where the options are limited. From allowing pets in the cabin during air travel to allowing them on public transport, pet moms are calling for better options and an easier process. “While there are few pet-friendly travel options, they are not always easily accessible. For example, the airlines that allow pets don’t always travel to the places we want to fly to. Taking pets along on trips helps them explore and improves our bond with them. I think all the pet moms would want more travel options with their pets,” shares Sruthi Rajan Srinivasan, a 28-year-old pet mom.
Pet-friendly stay options: Pet moms often face challenges when planning vacations or getaways, due to limited pet-friendly accommodations. A pet-friendly hotel, vacation rental, or campground can cater to the needs of pet moms and their pets, making everyone happy.
