Bizarre! Camel stuck inside Maruti Suzuki Alto following collision in Rajasthan
Driving at night in India, particularly outside metrocities, comes with unique challenges. Poorly illuminated roads and the presence of animals on highways significantly increase the risk of accidents. In a bizarre incident highlighting these dangers, a camel got stuck in the windshield of a Maruti Suzuki Alto after a collision in Rajasthan's Hanumangarh district.

The distressing site, captured on video, shows the camel grunting and struggling to free itself from the wrecked car. The driver, understandably shaken by the incident, sustained minor injuries and received first aid at a nearby hospital. The camel, however, remained trapped for a considerable time before a crane was brought in to safely extract the animal. A veterinarian was also on-site to provide immediate medical attention to the camel.

While the exact cause of the collision remains unclear, it is being reported that the driver collided into the animal as he could not spot it just in time because of lack of illumination on the road.

Animal-related road accidents are a significant concern in India. Highways often cut through rural areas and forests, habitats for various animals, including livestock and wildlife. Inadequate fencing and warning signs heighten the problem, making it difficult for drivers to spot animals in time to avoid collisions. This poses a risk not only to human life but also to the animals that wander onto busy roads.

Reducing speed and using high-beam headlights judiciously can help in spotting animals from a distance, allowing more reaction time. Furthermore, implementing better infrastructure, such as animal crossing signs and roadside fencing, can mitigate these incidents.
