Salman Khan death threat: Court remands Rajasthan YouTuber to police custody till June 18
The Mumbai Police have registered a new case related to the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's residence in April and have arrested a 25-year-old man from Rajasthan on charges of criminal intimidation. The accused, Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar, hailing from Bundi, Rajasthan, was brought to Mumbai where a court has remanded him in police custody until June 18, according to a Crime Branch official.

Gujar allegedly posted a video on his YouTube channel in which he claimed, "Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and other gang members are with me, and I am going to kill Salman Khan as he has not apologized yet," the official reported.

A 25-year-old man named Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar from Rajasthan was arrested by Mumbai Police for criminal intimidation related to a firing incident outside Salman Khan's residence. Anuj Thapan, who was arrested in connection with the case, allegedly committed suicide. Navi Mumbai Police arrested individuals linked to the Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs for plotting an attack on Salman Khan.

The video was recorded on a highway in Rajasthan before being uploaded. The police reportedly traced the IP address to Rajasthan.

“Considering the seriousness of the case, a team of the anti-extortion cell of crime branch, led by inspector Arun Thorat, was sent to Rajasthan and Gurjar was arrested from Bundi village,” said DCP Datta Nalawade to TOI.
Police said Gurjar had used a fictitious name and email address, but was tracked down with his mobile number. "Gurjar has been charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 506(2) (punishment for criminal intimidation), as well as the Information Technology Act,” said a police officer in a statement and also said that they are running a background check on his criminal record.

The incident follows a previous attack on Khan’s residence in Bandra, where two motorbike-borne men fired multiple rounds in the early hours of April 14. Six individuals were arrested in connection with that case, one of whom, Anuj Thapan, reportedly hanged himself in police custody on May 1.

In a separate investigation, Navi Mumbai Police arrested five individuals, including a suspected member of the Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs from Haryana, for plotting to attack Salman Khan. Four gang members had surveyed Khan's farmhouse in Panvel, his Bandra home, and various film shooting locations.

Lawrence Bishnoi, currently imprisoned at the Sabarmati Central Prison in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in a different case, will be sought for custody by Mumbai police. His brother Anmol, believed to be in Canada, has been listed as a wanted accused in the firing incident.
