Panic in Sonbhadra after human skull, bones found

Varanasi: Panic prevailed in Pokhra village of Babhani police station area in Sonbhadra district on Saturday evening when a human skull and bones were recovered from a dam.

The bones were later identified as of one Ram Prakash by his family. Reportedly, Ram has been missing since July, 2023..

Sonbhadra CO (Duddhi) Pradeep Singh Chandel said that the skull, bones and other evidences found in the dam had been collected by police and forensic experts for further investigation. The course of action would be decided on the basis of the report of scientific investigation. As the water level of the dam near Parsatola, under Babhani police station, started lowering some locals noticed a skull, bone and some clothes lying and raised alarm. On the basis of clothes found near the skull and bones, the family members of Ram Prakash claimed it were his remains. Police said that any action would be initiated on the arrival of report of scientific investigation. TNN
