China's car market saw little impact of Covid in 2020

NEW DELHI: The coronavirus crisis had a significant impact on international car markets. In Germany, new registrations of cars fell by 19%. In France, sales volume was down by a quarter, and the worst hit nation of Italy suffered a decline of 28%. Back home, India saw a dip of 18% in registrations of cars.

China lost the least. It saw 20 million new passenger car registration in 2020, a decline of just 6% from the previous year. Here's a look.
