Ghata, the new dumpyard
Major Randeep Hundal | Sector 58, Gurgaon | Oct 20, 2016, 11.59 PM ISTGhata village in Gurgaon’s Sector 58, the latest construction site for builders, has also become a new garbage and debris dumping ground for the developers and the residential societies in the neighbourhood. It has severely impacted the quality of air in the area, posing a serious health risk to residents living in the vicinity especially those of Ireo, The Grand Arch. As it is in contravention of NGT directives, residents have filed a complaint with civic authorities but there has been no action so far.
