Major power shutdown in S Goa on Dec 17
PANAJI: The electricity department on Friday said there would be no power supply to the South Goa district - except certain parts - from 7am to 3pm on December 17, due to annual maintenance work.
The shutdown will affect the talukas of Canacona, Salcete (except Raia, Curtorim, Loutolim, and Macazana), Sanguem, Quepem, Mormugao, part of the Dharbandora taluka (Kirlapal-Dabal, Shigao-Collem, Mollem), part of the Ponda taluka (Panchaadi), all industrial estates in South Goa and Selaulim water works at Xelpem. tnn
