HYDERABAD: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and raped multiple times over a period by a group of individuals at Neredmet in Hyderabad, according to the police on Tuesday. The mother of the survivor filed a complaint at Kachiguda Police Station on Monday, prompting the registration of a case and the initiation of an investigation.

Subhash, the sub-inspector of Kachiguda Police Station, stated, "Yesterday, the victim's mother gave a complaint about five people. The girl is a native of Kachiguda and has a boyfriend who stays in Neredmet. Her boyfriend took her outside many times on a bike. One day her boyfriend allegedly sexually assaulted her at Neredmet."

"After some days he introduced his friends to her and they also sexually assaulted her. A case has been registered and an investigation is going on," the police official added.

In a separate incident, an 18-year-old youth, identified as Chandu, allegedly raped a 5-year-old girl in the town of Narasaraopeta in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh. The girl's parents filed a complaint with the Narasaraopet rural police station on Monday, leading to the registration of a case under the POCSO Act against the accused.

Narasaraopet rural sub inspector Rossayya stated that the accused is currently absconding, and efforts are underway to locate him.
