32yo held for looting elderly people

Indore: Annapurna police on Tuesday arrested a man from Uttarakhand who had been committing loots with unsuspecting elderly victims in the city.

ACP Nandini Sharma said that an elder woman was walking on Ahilya Nagar service road when two bike-borne men snatched a purse from her hand containing her mangalsutra and mobile phone. A team was formed and the officials sifted through CCTV footage of the nearby areas and acting on a tip off, the accused Zakir Hussain, 32, resident of Rudrapur, was arrested.

Police said that the accused was detained for further questioning and more arrests are expected to follow in the case.tnn
