LUCKNOW: Lucknow University has deferred all its semester examinations to be held in February considering the Covid-19 situation.

LU had earlier postponed all its exams scheduled between January 15 and 31 after over 60 students residing in three LU boys’ hostels tested positive for Covid-19.

The revised schedule of the examination is yet to be announced.

According to LU officials, no examination will be held till February 6 as the government has already announced that academic institutes will remain closed and only online classes will be held.

Only some examinations of undergraduate second and third year and postgraduate final year could be held in January. Examinations of first-year UG and PG students were scheduled for February.

LU spokesperson said, “The university has deferred examinations. It will re-schedule all examinations which were to be held in February. The new schedule will be announced shortly.”
