Warm welcome for PM Modi from Bohra Muslims in Mumbai

Recalling bond

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday recalled the decades-old bond he shared with the Dawoodi Bohra community as he highlighted the love and concern of the community for the country.

Inaugurating campus

PM Modi inaugurated the fourth campus of Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah Arabic Academy, a premier educational institute of the Dawoodi Bohra community, which has campuses in Surat, Karachi and Nairobi.

Presiding inauguration

Patron of the Jamea (institution) and spiritual head of the Dawoodi Bohras, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, presided over the ceremony which was attended by CM Eknath Shinde and his deputy Devendra Fadnavis.

'I am your family'

"When I am among you, I am neither chief minister nor Prime Minister. I am your family. I have known four generations of the Syedna," said Modi

Modi also recalled his close association with late Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, and said he too had blessed him.
