Chikkanayakanahalli assembly constituency is one of the 224 constituencies in the Karnataka legislative assembly. It is also part of Tumkur Lok Sabha constituency.

In 2018, Chiknayakanhalli legislative assembly constituency had total 2,12,217 electors. Total number of valid vote was 1,80,663. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate J C Madhu Swamy won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 69,612 votes. Janata Dal (secular) candidate C B Sureshbabu stood second with total 59,335 votes. He lost by 10277 votes.
In 2013, Chiknayakanhalli legislative assembly constituency had total 1,98,417 electors. Total number of valid vote was 1,60,826. Janata Dal (secular) candidate C B Sureshbabu won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 60,759 votes. Karnataka Jantha Paksha candidate J C Madhuswamy stood second with total 49,620 votes. He lost by 11,139 votes.
In 2008, Chiknayakanhalli legislative assembly constituency had total 1,84,261 electors. Total number of valid vote was 1,43,589. Janata Dal (secular) candidate C B Suresh Babu won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 67,046 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate K S Kiran Kumar stood second with total 38,002 votes. He lost by 29,044 votes.
Karnataka will go to polls in a single phase on May 10, and the counting of votes will take place on May 13. There are a total of 224 seats in Karnataka. It is the seventh-largest legislative assembly by strength.
