Maski is one of the 224 assembly constituencies of the poll-bound Karnataka. It falls under the Koppal Lok Sabha constituency.

In 2021, this constituency was won by the Indian National Congress, when Basanagouda Turuvihal defeated Pratap Gouda Patil of the Bharatiya Janata Party by a margin of 30,606 votes. While Turuvihal bagged 86,337 votes, Patil got 55,731.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Karadi Sanganna Amarappa won from Koppal Lok Sabha (MP) seat by a margin of 38,397 votes by defeating K Rajashekar Basavaraj Hitnal of the Indian National Congress.
Candidates in fray for the upcoming 2023 assembly election are Raghavendra Nayak from the JD(S), Basanagouda Thurvihal of the Indian National Congress, and Pratapgouda Patil of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
In 2018, Pratapgouda Patil of the Indian National Congress won against Basanagowda Turvihal of the Bharatiya Janta Party by a small margin of 213 votes. Rajasomanath Nayak of the JD(S) followed them with 11,392 votes.
Pratapgowda Patil in 2013 fought for the Indian National Congress and defeated Mahadevappa Gowda of the KJP by a margin of 19,147 votes. They were followed by Shekharappa Talwar of the BSR CP with 18,197 votes.
In 2008, Pratapgouda Patil, fielded by the Bharatiya Janata Party, defeated Timmappa of the Indian National Congress by 7,643 votes.
The assembly election 2023 in the state to elect all 224 members of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly are scheduled to be held on May 10. The votes will be counted and the results will be declared on May 13.
