Ornithophiles of Aurangabad gather for Bird Festival near Jayakwadi Dam
Ornithophiles of Aurangabad made the most of the season as they indulged themselves in bird watching and bird photography near Jayakwadi Dam. The event Bird Festival 2020 was organised by Environmental Research Foundation and Education Academy, MGM photography department and wildlife Division with over 150 bird lovers joining in.
In the seventh edition of the bird festival, they gathered near Paithan’s Jayakwadi Bird Sanctuary early in the morning to get a glimpse of exotic birds. Birds like Quail, Spoonbills, Openbill stork, Igret, Black-winged stilt, Seagull, Heron, Bar-headed goose; various types of Kingfishers among others were spotted by the ornithophiles. They indulged in clicking photographs of the birds and were also seen discussing various aspects of bird watching and birds.
