Bangalore Metro restricts music play on loudspeakers on trains
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has banned music on loudspeakers inside Namma Metro trains to prevent public nuisance. However, passengers can use earphones while listening to music. An announcement was made on Metro trains on Thursday, stating that no music should be played while traveling inside the train. According to reports, BMRCL Managing Director Anjum Parvez believes the decision was made to avoid nuisance to other passengers, but believes it may have been made at a lower level.
It is not specified if there would be punishment for violating the rule. Namma Metro has been raising public awareness through short videos on the train display system, including restrictions on eating and boarding the train according to the line system.
