Mumbai Cyber Police have pressed charges against a 25-year-old man from Rajasthan for creating threatening videos involving Salman Khan. Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar, a resident of Boarda village, Fazalpura, Hindoli, Dist: Bundi, Rajasthan, has been apprehended in the matter for discussing the Bishnoi Gang and hinting at intentions to harm Salman.
ETimes has learnt that an offence was registered at South Cyber Police Station vide CR No.
66/24 under sections 506(2), 504, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 66(d) of the Information Technology (IT) Act against him for his YouTube video on the channel “Are Chhodo Yar”, wherein he discussed the Bishnoi Gang and mentioned plans to kill Salman Khan. Gujar was arrested from Boarda village after authorities dispatched a team to investigate the serious threat. The team, which travelled to Rajasthan to probe the matter, reached Mumbai domestic airport in the afternoon on Suday.
This development comes soon after Salman Khan and his brother Arbaaz recorded their statements, regarding the shooting incident at Khan's Bandra residence. On April 14, gun shots were fired outside Salman Khan's residence at Galaxy Apartments, subsequently security was beefed up for the actor and arrests were made.
A few days after the incident, Arbaaz issued a statement on behalf of the Khan family and said, "The recent incident of firing by two unidentified person in a motorcycle at Galaxy apartment the residence of the Salim Khan family is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident that took place. Unfortunately, some people claiming to be close to our family and pretending to be the spokesperson have been making loose statements to the media saying it's all a publicity stunt and the family remains unaffected which is not true and these views should not be taken seriously."
