R Madhavan on comparisons between son Vedaant and other star kids: 'We don’t appreciate or endorse it'

Earlier, in a candid conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube channel, R Madhavan shared his thoughts on his son Vedaant Madhavan being compared to other star kids. The 54-year-old actor expressed his displeasure about these comparisons, highlighting the potential harm they can cause.
R Madhavan, a proud father to his son Vedaant, who is an accomplished swimmer, spoke about the strong bond he shares with him.
He frequently posts pictures of Vedaant on his social media, showcasing their close relationship. However, the actor is concerned about the impact of constant comparisons on his son.
Madhavan mentioned that both he and his wife, Sarita, are not pleased when Vedaant is labeled as the ideal star kid. He stated, “Comparing a child to another child can hurt many people. When Vedaant gets compared to star kids, we don’t appreciate or endorse it.” This sentiment underscores their belief that every child's achievements should be viewed independently, without undue comparison.
Despite the additional attention Vedaant receives due to his father's fame, Madhavan acknowledges his son's hard-earned accomplishments. He remarked, “Vedaant is not the best in the country. He is an actor’s son who has managed to achieve a national record.” This statement reflects Madhavan's awareness of the advantages and pressures that come with being a celebrity's child.
Meanwhile Madhavan's recent outing 'Shaitaan' received good reviews.
