Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput regrets comparing babies to puppies in the past; comes out in support of Hrithik Roshan's girlfriend Saba Azad

Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira Rajput recently responded to a social media post by Hrithik Roshan’s girlfriend, Saba Azad, where she criticized the ‘patriarchal mindset’.

In an interview with Film Companion, Mira commented on Saba Azad's post, emphasizing the importance of both partners contributing to family life. She expressed joy in her role, as it gives her confidence and independence. Supporting Saba, Mira asserted that one's identity shouldn't solely be defined by their associations. She admitted experiencing this herself but considers it a blessing, acknowledging the opportunities it brought her.


Saba took to social media to criticize a 'patriarchal mindset' after a director assumed she might not need work because she is dating a successful actor.




Mira also expressed regret over her previous statement comparing babies to puppies, acknowledging that she might have acted out of vulnerability. She stated that she has since evolved as a person, and understands why her comments were not well-received. Mira emphasized that her choices were valid at the time, as she was defending herself.



The star wife also went on to explain that she married and had children at a young age and clarified that while being a homemaker might not generate income, it is still work. She advocated for equal recognition of mothers and fathers who stay at home. Reflecting on her past controversial comments, Mira noted that people questioned her choice to be a homemaker, labeling it as a conventional approach despite her modern persona. She found this perspective slightly unfair, as it was her personal choice. Mira admitted having ambitions, but they did not align with her life plans.
