When Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri visited Chunky Pandey's house

Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood icon, has had a remarkable journey from humble beginnings to superstardom. Last year marked his triumphant return with three consecutive blockbuster movies: 'Pathaan', 'Jawan', and 'Dunki'. Despite his current success, Shah Rukh faced numerous struggles early in his career, including living in a rented house with his wife Gauri before acquiring his iconic residence, Mannat, valued at Rs. 200 crore. Actor Chunky Pandey shared insights into Shah Rukh's early days on the 'Timeout With Ankit' podcast, recalling how Shah and Gauri frequented his home to meet his younger brother, Chikki Pandey, one of Shah's first friends in Mumbai. Chunky fondly reminisced about their gatherings where they would watch video cassettes together.

Shah Rukh Khan, the king of Bollywood is one of the most talented stars in the world. The actor has been winning hearts since the beginning of his career. Last year was a blockbuster for Shah. He made a comeback to Bollywood with three back to back superhit movies, Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. However, his journey was no less than a roller coaster ride, the king has seen many struggles during the start of his career.
He once lived in a rented house with his wife Gauri before eventually becoming the owner of Mannat whose value is said to be Rs. 200 crore.
In April of this year, actor Chunky Pandey came on Timeout With Ankit podcast and recalled the time Shah and Gauri used to live in a rented space and how his younger brother Chikki Pandey was the first friend of Shah in Mumbai.
"I think one of his first friends in Bombay when he arrived was my younger brother Chikki. They're still the best of friends," Chunky had said.
Going further in the interview, Chunky Panday shared that during the time, Shah Rukh and Gauri were renting the house in Mumbai, they used to go to the former's house to meet Chikki. The actor further stated that all of them used to sit and watch video cassettes together.
In Chunky's words, "So, at that time, they were renting a place and they used to come to meet my brother, sab baith ke video cassettes dekhte the (Everyone watched video cassettes). So he and Gauri were in my house quite often."
In the same interview, Chunky Panday had heaped praises on Shah Rukh Khan and mentioned that he was sure that the DDLJ actor would make it, as the latter always had a fire of passion in him. Chunky added that the talent had always been there even before SRK became a superstar, and the latter was confident enough to know where he was going. Chunky stated that he is lucky that he has known the Pathaan actor since the time he kick started his career.

He also mentioned that Shah has not changed at all since then. He had said that with Shah Rukh, he was so sure that this boy was going to become a superstar. He also shared that he is very proud that Shah Rukh has become a legend as he deserves all the love that he gets from his fans now.
