Senior Kannada film director S.K Bhagavan has been admitted to a popular Hospital, Bengaluru as he is suffering from age-related issues. SK Bhagwan has been keeping unwell for some days. The duo directors Dorairaj and SK Bhagavan are very popular in the Kannada film industry.

Senior Kannada film director S.K Bhagavan has been admitted to a popular Hospital, Bengaluru as he is suffering from age-related issues. SK Bhagwan has been keeping unwell for some days. The duo directors Dorairaj and SK Bhagavan are very popular in the Kannada film industry.
SK Bhagavan is the director and producer of social and novel-based movies in Kannada cinema.
His real name is Srinivas Krishna Iyengar Bhagavan. He was born on July 3, 1933. SK Bhagavan, who was attracted towards acting, used to do dramas in ‘Hirannayya Mitra Mandali’. In 1956, SK Bhagwan started his film journey as an assistant to Kanagal Prabhakar Shastri.
Later he teamed up with cinematographer Dorairaj and started directing independently. This director duo has given many hit films in Kannada cinema. After Dorairaj died in 1993, he said goodbye to film direction. The duo shared a special bond with Dr. Rajkumar and directed him in more than 30 films.
Dr. Rajkumar, Uday Kumar, Narasimharaju, Lakshmi, Aarti, Jayanthi, Rajesh, Kalpana, Manjula, Ananth Nag, Shankar Nag, B. Saroja Devi, Dr. Vishnuvardhan, Malashree, Ambareesh, Puneeth Rajkumar and other famous actors and actresses S. K. Bhagavan had worked.
Dorai-Bhagavan duo bought Bond genre films in Kannada through 'Operation Jackpot Nalli Agent 999'. The pair Ananth Nag-Lakshmi became famous for Bhagavan-directed films. SK Bhagwan, who was active in the film industry for about 65 years, stayed away from film direction after Dorairaj’s death. Bhagavan was serving as principal at Adarsha Film Institute. SK Bhagavan is a recepient of Puttanna Kanagal Award and Dr Rajkumar award.
