KK recorded for his last Marathi song, two months before he passed away
Last year, on May 31 KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath) died of a heart attack in Calcutta. KK who has several hits to his credit had recorded for a Marathi song for the film Umbrella. It is a heartbreak song composed by Santosh Mulekar.
Reminiscing the time, KK recorded for his last Marathi song, Mulekar says, "We recorded the song - Ekant Hawa - two months before he passed away. In fact, he was so busy during that time with concerts that we felt lucky that he took out time and agreed to record for us. I have been associated with him as a pianist for a few of his concerts. He was a wonderful person. I must share that KK had immense love for Marathi cinema, and he would fondly speak about Marathi music."
