However, the entertaining film has managed to do well at the box office, especially at the UK box office. Vijay Antony's film's UK distributor has confirmed the box office achievement of the film in the UK, and the film is now the highest-grossing film by the actor in the UK market.
On the other hand, the distributor has refused to reveal the numbers, which has not gone down well with the fans.
'Pichaikkaran 2' is released along with the Telugu version, 'Bichagadu 2', and the Telugu version is higher than the Telugu version at the box office from day 1. The Tamil-Telugu film has reportedly earned over Rs 25 crore worldwide, as it will be closing its first week today (May 25). The second-weekend collection for the film is going to be tough as there are a couple of new releases lined up in Tamil.
'Pichaikkaran 2' marks the directorial debut of Vijay Antony, and the lead actor of the film has also done the editing and music for the film. The film based on the brother-sister sentiment also has Kavya Thapar, Dato Radha Ravi, Y Gee Mahendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, Hareesh Peradi, John Vijay, Dev Gill, and Yogi Babu in important roles.
