Pooja Hegde increases her remuneration to Rs 4 crore for 'Suriya 44'

After 'Beast' in Tamil, Pooja Hegde has signed up for her next Tamil film to play alongside Suriya in the tentatively titled 'Suriya 44'. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the movie stars Suriya, Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran among others. The movie is said to be a period romantic drama and the music for it will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan.


The film was officially announced a couple of months back and it went on floors in the first week of June and the cast is currently shooting for the scenes at theAndaman and Nicobar islands. The Republic reported that actress Pooja Hegde has increased her remuneration for the film. She was reportedly said to charge Rs 3.5 crore for her previous films and with this new movie, the actress has increased her salary to Rs 4 crore.

The actress is said to play a significant role in the movie. Meanwhile, on the work front, Suriya will be seen on the big screens with Siva's 'Kanguva'. The epic period action drama stars Suriya, Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, DOP Nataraj, VTV Ganesh, Redin Kingsley among others. The film is currently in post production and the VFX work for it will be wrapped up by August. The makers are yet to reveal the release plan of the movie and it is likely to be pushed to 2025.

The actor also has the films 'Suriya 43' with Sudha Kongara and 'Vaadivaasal' with Vetrimaaran in the project pipeline which is currently put on hold.
