Nandamuri Balakrishna pays tribute to Jaya Prakash Reddy in a heartfelt note

On Tuesday, the iconic actor Jaya Prakash Reddy passed away at 74 following a cardiac arrest at his residence in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Since then, many celebrities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed their grief over the sudden demise of an actor, who will always be remembered in our hearts. Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna too shared about his friendship with the late actor who loved theatre.
Jaya Prakash Reddy had acted as the antagonist in many blockbusters with Balakrishna in the late 90s and early 2000. Back then, films based on the Rayalseema faction were trending in Tollywood and the actor proved his acting skills in this genre. Known for his authentic Rayalseema slang, Jaya Prakash Reddy was one of the most furious villains of Tollywood. Balakrishna reminisced about how the late actor always made time for theatre no matter how many films he was working on. He wrote, “Jayaprakash Reddy is my most beloved man. We acted together in movies like etc. Since he is from a theatre background, he used to consider cinema and theatre as his eyes. No matter how busy he was in movies, he always used to make time for theatre dramas. We have always shared a special bonding. It is sad to know that he is no more. I pay my sincere condolences to his family and I pray to God to give them strength. I also pray that his soul rests in peace.”
