Taking 'break' for medical reasons: TMC's Abhishek
KOLKATA: TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee said in a post on X Wednesday that he would take a break from party organisation "due to pressing medical reasons." Abhishek said he hoped Bengal govt would prioritise its poll promises to pay Awas Yojana beneficiaries from the state exchequer.
"In light of pressing medical reasons, I'll be taking a short hiatus from the organisation. This time off will be an opportunity to humbly explore and understand needs of our people and community. I trust GoWB will act swiftly & leave no stone unturned to ensure justice for those in need," he wrote.
