About ELF and its founder

Enrich Lives Foundation (ELF), a four-year-old Section 8 non-profit organization was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, ELF has been a vital bridge of compassion and kindness between donors, volunteers, and marginalised communities in Mumbai. Operating in the densely populated slum areas of Govandi, Mankhurd, and Antop Hill, ELF focuses on three core initiatives: women empowerment, education for children, and youth upskilling.
Founder Rashmi Balwani, who has transitioned from her roles in industrial engineering and the food & beverage industry to leading ELF, brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial acumen and deep-seated compassion to her philanthropic work. During the pandemic, she initiated the Annapurna Movement, which connected those in need of food and supplies with generous donors. This initiative laid the groundwork for ELF, which has since grown to impact numerous lives through its projects driven by compassion, kindness, and love.
