18K vs 22K gold: Which is better to invest in?

The first and main difference between the 18K and 22K gold is its composition and purity level. 18K gold contains 75 percent pure gold while 22K contains 91.67 percent. This difference in the purity level gives each type of gold its unique characteristics. Because of the high purity level of 22K, it is softer and more malleable than 18K gold. This is why it becomes easier to bend and scratch the 22K when it comes to jewellery making.

But, for everyday use, 18K is better as it is fine and lightweight too.
