Chess grandmaster Praggnanandhaa to make right moves for Isro

India's lunar rover Pragyan has ceased functioning on the Moon, prompting Isro to enlist the help of chess grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa to promote science and technology among young Indians

CHENNAI: India's lunar rover Pragyan has gone to eternal sleep on Moon; now chess grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa will wake young Indians up to the importance of science and technology.
Isro chairman S Somanath said on Monday that the space agency will use the Chennai boy to promote its activities and spread messages of science and technology. "We are proud to have a Pragyan on Moon, and this Praggnanandhaa on the ground. What we did for India on Moon, he has accomplished on land," Somanath said after visiting the 18-year-old grandmaster who just completed Class XII. "I am happy that Praggnanandhaa will be working with us to inspure young people to take up science, engineering and technology to make India a very proud and powerful nation," PTI quoted the Isro chairman as saying.
