Following the World Cup victory, three of India's most prominent players - captain Rohit Sharma, star batsman Virat Kohli, and versatile all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja - announced their retirement from T20I cricket. Nevertheless, Bumrah has made it clear that he has no plans to step away from the shortest format of the game anytime soon.

Bumrah's statement during the felicitation at Wankhede Stadium solidified his commitment to playing the sport for a rather long time. "It's (my retirement) a long way away. I have just started. Hopefully, it is far away now," he declared, putting to rest any speculation about his potential retirement from T20I cricket.
Despite the departures of the stalwarts, Bumrah's unwavering determination to continue his journey in the shortest format of the game would be a reassuring sign for Indian cricket fans.
