NEW DELHI: After returning from Barbados, the Indian squad that won the T20 World Cup is expected to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to reports.
Hurricane Beryl has left Team India stranded in Barbados for the last two days. The team is scheduled to depart Barbados on Tuesday evening (local time) and arrive in Delhi on Wednesday, according to IANS.
"India cricket team likely to meet PM Modi late on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning, after returning from Barbados," a source said.

PM Modi had already called the victorious team shortly after they had won and congratulated them on their success.
Along with praising Virat Kohli for his 76-run innings in the championship game and his contribution to Indian cricket, he also praised Rohit Sharma for his outstanding captaincy and acknowledged his T20 career. He also acknowledged coach Rahul Dravid for his invaluable role in the game.

India clinched their second T20 World Cup title in Barbados on Saturday. The only other time the Men in Blue had won the showpiece event was in 2007, the inaugural edition of the mega event.
With this victory, India won their first ICC title in eleven years, having previously won the Champions Trophy title in 2013.
