The Indian team entered the Wankhede Stadium on Friday overwhelmed with emotion after a victory parade in Mumbai where the country showered its love on the heroes upon the team's arrival home from the Caribbean with the T20 World Cup trophy. That emotion only multiplied inside a packed stadium, as the team sang 'Vande Matram' and the entire arena joined them.
But just as Hardik and Virat Kohli put their hands up in the air, urging the crowd to sing with them, a surprise came Hardik's way, which left Jasprit Bumrah in splits.

A cloth, which looked like a t-shirt thrown by a fan from the stands, came straight on Hardik's outstretched right arm, leaving him surprised for a fraction of a second before he just dropped it and resumed singing.
Watching this little intrusion, Bumrah and Axar Patel, who were walking just behind them in the team's victory lap, couldn't stop laughing.

The Indian team landed back home following a delay of a few days after their thrilling seven-run win over South Africa in the final at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, on June 29.

Bridgetown was hit by the effects of hurricane 'Beryl', which forced the airport to be shut down.

Upon the team's arrival, the players met Prime Minister Narendra Modi before taking a flight to Mumbai where they boarded an open-top bus in a victory parade that saw a sea of fans emerge on the Marine Drive to celebrate en route to the Wankhede Stadium for a felicitation ceremony.
