The home chartered flight 'AIC24WC' was one of the world's most-tracked flights on the flight tracking portal Flightradar24 for as many as 15-plus hours, after it took off from Barbados on Wednesday (June 3) for New Delhi.
The flight tracking portal shared the same on X, formerly known as Twitter, "After being our most tracked flight for much of the last 15 hours, India’s World Cup champion cricket team is less than an hour from landing in Delhi." The post carried a satellite image of the flight route.
FlightRadar24 had earlier shared an update on the 'AIC24WC' flight. “Our most tracked flight right now —�� T20 World Cup champions India on their way home," the website had posted just hours after the flight took off from Barbados airport.
For those unaware, the Air India's special chartered flight's call sign too represents India's World Cup win, with 'AIC' representing 'Air India Chartered flight' and '24WC' representing the 'T20 World Cup 2024' triumph.
